Thailand

Thailand is the enchanting heart of South-East Asia, offering an intriguing and unforgettable blend of culture, age-old traditions, ancient treasures, tropical beaches, spectacular scenery and welcoming people. It’s no surprise that it’s often referred to as ‘The Land of 1000 Smiles’.

With golden temples, bustling markets, historic palaces, mouth-watering cuisine, warm seas and palm fringed beaches, Thailand is an exotic yet increasingly sophisticated holiday destination.

Situated in the Gulf of Thailand, Koh Chang is a relatively undiscovered tropical paradise with towering mountain peaks draped with lush fertile rain forests and steep cliffs which create magnificent waterfalls. Along the coast you will find pristine white sandy beaches bordered by the clearest waters which are home to splendid, unspoiled virgin coral reefs offering wonderful diving and are part of the Koh Chang Marine National Park.

Nirvana is situated in a stunning location at the north western tip of the island of Koh Chang which is on the eastern side of Thailand. Surrounded by lush tropical rain forest it is set amongst 64 acres of beautifully landscaped tropical gardens, with 1.5 km of white sandy beaches bordering the clear, blue waters of the Gulf of Thailand.

The owners and guests of Nirvana have the use of the swimming pools, bars & restaurants within the development.

Key Facts

Thailand embraces a rich diversity of cultures and traditions. With its proud history, tropical climate and renowned hospitality, the Kingdom is a never-ending source of fascination and pleasure for international visitors.

The Kingdom of Thailand draws more visitors than any other country in Southeast Asia with its irresistible combination of breathtaking natural beauty, inspiring temples, renowned hospitality, robust cuisine and ruins of fabulous ancient kingdoms. Few countries are so well endowed. There are constant reminders of the nation’s rich cultural heritage ranging from its glittering temples to its exquisite crafts. There is superb dining, shopping, and entertainment to fill the days and nights. But most of all, there are the Thai people with their unrushed lifestyle who take time to welcome the stranger, especially in the countryside.

While the property market in Thailand is currently at an early stage of growth, investors are purchasing now while property prices are at a low. However, they look set to rise as the property market and supporting infrastructure matures. High growth figures are very achievable particularly in the newer resorts where average growth can reach 15%. The government is concentrating on ambitious new marketing efforts to attract luxury tourism in order to meet its annual target of 10% growth in tourist numbers. New construction in resorts are expected to attract a vast numbers of tourists on short term holidays while generating excellent rental yields for the investors who own properties. Tourism figures have now reached the pre-Tsunami disaster levels and overseas investors see no reason to treat Thailand any differently from any other emerging market.

The cost of living in Thailand is much lower than in most European destinations while the facilities available to tourists and visitors are modern and of international standard. Property is much cheaper in Thailand than elsewhere and an increase in overseas interest in property purchase has helped to create an economic recovery in Thailand.

The completion of the Suvarnabhumi-Bangkok International Airport (SBIA) airport is expected to spur growth in commercial property markets in eastern Bangkok as well as make Thailand even more accessible. Due to its popularity as a tourist destination, Thailand is one of the cheapest places to fly to in Asia, with direct flights readily available to Bangkok from many international airports.

A final thought . . .
